Grace Community Church
Grace Community Church exists for the Lord Jesus Christ and his kingdom. We are a charismatic evangelical Christian church which is in association with the Newfrontiers family of churches. We are also members of the Evangelical Alliance and Churches Together in Stevenage."
Grace Community Church was launched in October 2004, following the merger of two previously existing congregations, City Church and Hydean Way Baptist Church. We aim to be New Testament church, making a significant impact for the Lord Jesus on our town and the surrounding area.
We meet on Sunday mornings at 10.30 at our worship centre in Hydean Way, Stevenage. We have a crèche as well as children's and youth ministry.
Church life is organised around small groups of 6/12 people, known as cells. Cell Groups are at the heart of Grace Community Church and are a major part of our strategy for growing together in our love for the Lord Jesus, for one another and for the lost.
We also have a number of community ministries: a carers and toddlers group, a ministry to people with learning difficulties, an open lunch club and a coffee morning.
We are involved in supporting Christian ministry in India, Zimbabwe, Bulgaria and China.
Grace Community Church is served by an eldership team of three; Alan, who is full time, and Jon and Phil who have day jobs. We are also served by a great team of gifted and talented, hard working men and women who lead in cells and other ministries.
